We have a focus on Young Enterprise because……

We want young people to be confident in their skills and see business and enterprise as a career option. ​

We want young people to be given the confidence to be innovative and explore their own ideas.

RESULTS & OUTCOMES

Our Results: ​

• Young Enterprise program now running every year in the High School​
• Local teams compete in the region​
• Hold 2 Market days per year where students get to sell their product​
• HB Chamber of Commerce send a person to help with the program in the college ​

• Make business and enterprise a viable achievable employment outcome​
• Builds skill in marketing, money management and business​
• Provides access to a safe environment to develop skills and be innovative ​
• Graduates experience a sense of achievement & increased confidence​
• Give students in a rural community connections with the help offered in the wider Hawke’s Bay – allow them to see outside of their world ​
• Helps shape the students career pathways
